The International Office at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is the university's hub for international relations and coordinating the university's international partnerships.
We oversee international degree-seeking students, refugees intending to (re)commence their studies and interntional exchange students. We inform and advise current students about opportunities to study or intern abroad and provide information on available funding programs and scholarship opportunities.
The International Office also supports members of the teaching and administrative staff interested in going abroad or looking to invite scholars from abroad.
Stay up to date: the Language Center and the International Office at Kurt-Schumacher-Ring send out emails with updates on international issues (language courses, scholarship applications, events, etc.) to anybody who subscribed to the Stud.IP event HSRM_International. Please subscribe, if you would like to obtain this information.

Advice and support of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences
International activities increase the competitiveness and attractiveness of Hochschule RheinMain as a place to study, research and work. The university promotes intercultural dialog through international contacts and relationships by bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to study, research and work together.
Internationalization is a continuous process at Hochschule RheinMain requiring the close collaboration of faculties, central units and the university leadership. The new internationalization strategy adopted in 2023 is a guideline to further advance the internationalization in teaching and research while considering global challenges. This strategic cross-sectional task involves representatives from teaching, research and administration. Hochschule RheinMain has set itself the following five internationalization goals on its road to further internationalization:
NETWORKING – Promotion and expansion of quality-oriented international cooperation in degree programs, teaching, research and transfer
QUALIFYING – Preparing students for an international labor market
DIVERSIFYING – Attracting talented international students to our university
STRENGTHEN – Increase quality in research/development/transfer
OPENING OUR DOORS TO THE WORLD – Enhancing our attractiveness as an international employer
The departmental international coordinators are looking forward to assisting and providing you with information for your planned stay abroad. The duties and responsibilities of the departmental international coordinators include establishing contacts with universities abroad, maintaining contacts with scientists at overseas universities, inviting guest lecturers, visiting foreign faculties and academics, etc.
RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is taking a holistic approach to internationalization that encompasses measures for integrating an international and intercultural dimension into all areas of the university. Internationalization is key for offering excellent teaching and research.
To underline this, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences successfully underwent the audit Internationalisierung der Hochschulen (Internationalization of Universities) by the HRK (German Rectors’ Conference) in 2021.
We cooperate with numerous partner universities all over the world. The partners are listed by country, the areas of cooperation are listed next to the respective partners.
Sarah Faust, International Management
“What an unbelievably great experience!”, says Sarah Faust about her internship abroad in Lisbon. She completed a global recruiting internship in the Portuguese capital and continued to work for the same company as a working student in Frankfurt upon her return. During her time abroad, she gained many new experiences and enjoyed the flair of the city.
