- Internet PCs: Registered library users who are at least 18 years of age log in with their user number and password. Internet usage is limited to 30 minutes per day, which can be divided into 15 minute blocks.
- Unencrypted WiFi for all: "Gast-HLB", with no age restriction, no password necessary. However: no access to licensed content of the University and State Library.
- RheinMain University members can also use the campus WiFi (registration via HDS ID).
- Use of Eduroam (for members of participating universities).
Self check terminals
Self check terminals to borrow media are available on the Bertramstraße, Kurt-Schumacher-Ring, Unter den Eichen and Rüsselsheim sites. Here you can borrow media without help from staff. During times when service is limited (usually in the evenings or on Saturdays), this is the only way to borrow media.
Return boxes
Outside the opening hours, you can return media by depositing them into return boxes on the Bertramstraße, Kurt-Schumacher-Ring and Unter den Eichen sites. These media are then re-entered into the library lending system on the next working day.
The boxes can be found in the vicinity of the library entrance on each site.
Members of the RheinMain University can find copying, scanning and printing possibilities at the libraries at Bertramstraße, Kurt-Schumacher-Ring and Rüsselsheim. At the library at the Rheinstraße only scanning is possible.
Students must register their StudentCard at the copy machine and can use it to print/copy 50 pages per month free of charge. A further charge is not possible in the current month.
Copying
Copying machines are available for members of RheinMain University at the libraries at the Bertramstraße, Kurt-Schumacher-Ring and Rüsselsheim campuses. You can register your StudentCard on the device and use it to print/copy 50 pages per month free of charge. No further recharging is possible in the current month.
Scanning
Book scanners are available at all our locations. Here you can scan book contents free of charge and save them on a USB stick. Members of the RheinMain university can also make scans at the copy machines.
There is a microfilm scanner at the ServicePoint on Rheinstraße for saving microforms.
Printing
Members of RheinMain University of Applied Sciences can print out color and black and white documents up to A3 size using the copy machines at the Bertramstraße (only A4) Kurt-Schumacher-Ring and Rüsselsheim libraries. Please save the files to be printed as jpg, tiff or pdf on your USB stick, which you connect directly to the copier.
