Apprentice at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences

Did you know? RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is not only a place to study, our university also offers an apprenticeship program. Currently, 12 apprentices are being trained in five different occupations.

 

What to expect

  • You will either rotate through different departments or are assigned to a specific department (depending on the apprenticeship). If employed in a specific department, you can job shadow to get to know other areas of the university.
  • You will have a permanent contact person during all phases of your apprenticeship.
  • The apprenticeship usually lasts three years.
  • The theoretical part of the program is taught at a vocational school. In addition, you will attend seminars, training courses and exam training at our university.
  • Joint events and excursions throughout the year round off the apprenticeship program.

As apprentice at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, you benefit from the regulations of the collective agreement for apprentices of the state of Hesse (TVA-H BBiG):

  • Attractive Apprenticeship remuneration that increases each year
  • Annual special payment (Christmas bonus)
  • Bonus upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
  • 30 days' vacation, Christmas and New Year's Eve as additional day off, and leave for exams
  • Company pension scheme at Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder - VBL (German pension institution of the federal and state governments)
