Study program

The Faculty of Applied Social Sciences offers a broad study program. Our degree programs have different specializations in health, law, management and social studies and are continuously updated to current developments. Practice and theory are linked through varied modes of instruction and study contents to train professionals who are equipped with theoretical knowledge and critically reflect practices. Student research projects allow students to find access to research early on, and develop a reflexive attitude towards social work practices based on research.

Language

The language of instruction is mainly German. However, the faculty offers selected courses in English. Since our program is structured in modules, topics and contents can vary each semester.

Academic calender

The academic year in Germany is divided in two semesters. Class periods and examination periods of the home and visiting universities can overlap. Consider this fact when planning your stay. If necessary, make arrangements and find out details about exam conditions and periods.
