Medientechnik-Studentin gewinnt Young Person of the Year Award

Jessica Volk studiert im siebten Semester Medientechnik an der Hochschule RheinMain und hat den diesjährigen Preis von IABM "Young Person of the Year" als Student of the Year winner gewonnen. Die IABM (international trade association for suppliers of broadcast and media technology) sponsert jährlich den Besuch von Studierenden auf der internationalen Branchenmesse IBC (International Broadcast Convention) in Amsterdam.

Konkurrenz aus ganz Europa

Jessica Volk hat unter den teilnehmenden Studierenden verschiedener europäischer Hochschulen überzeugt. Im April war sie eine von zwei Gewinnern der Hochschule RheinMain und sechs weiteren aus Russland, England und Frankreich des IABM Engineering Student Award. Preis war ein Besuch der IBC in Amsterdam, inklusive Konferenzpass, Anreise und Unterkunft für die ganze Woche.

Mit ihrem Bericht über den Besuch kam sie in die engere Auswahl und wurde letztendlich als Student of the Year winner ausgewählt. Jurymitglied Andrew Jones ist von Jessica beeindruckt: "I was impressed by Jessica's capabilities as a student and as a person, as was Dr Martin Salter - the other judge for the award and the person who visited RheinMain university to assist in selecting of Jessica as the student who IABM Educational Foundation would sponsor to attend the IBC Conference and trade show. Jessica was selected as IABM Student of the year from the 12 students from across Europe."
