Application and Registration
Application forms needed (in English) and only for non-HSRM students:
- 1-page CV
- 1-page motivation (feel free to use the provided template)
- Grade overview of your current studies
- Proof of inscription at your home University
- Once you arrive: proof of health insurance
Selection process: Please send a 1-page CV, including a grade overview and a 1-page motivation letter until May 30th, 2025 to ccc(at)hs-rm.de. Please state in your motivation letter, why you would like to participate in this particular SummerSchool and what motivates you to come to Germany. Please note: since we are interested in your personal view we expect you to write the motivation letter on your own. The program is limited to 20 places for international students and 10 RheinMain University of Applied Sciences students.

Empower Yourself at the Summer School on Future Leaders!
Dive into the dynamics of leadership with our summer program from August 11th to 15th, 2025, at RheinMain University in Wiesbaden, Germany. Students from around the world will engage in an intensive week focused on navigating the VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world of leadership in an interconnected world. This program emphasizes the importance of authentic leadership and seeks to explore how culture shapes leadership and interpersonal interaction. Thus, a focus on multi-cultural communication theories, put directly into practice, is also part of the summer school.
Learning Objectives
Participants will explore the essence of self-leadership and develop intercultural communication skills, enhancing their emotional intelligence. Hands-on workshops, interactive lectures, and a company visit will provide practical insights into effective leadership practices. Each participant will embark on a personal development journey, reflecting on their values and leadership aspirations.
Social Program
Engage with peers through an exciting city rally in Wiesbaden or Mainz, fostering intercultural connections and teamwork. Participate in evening networking events and enjoy leisure activities that celebrate the vibrant culture of Wiesbaden. Language of instruction
English, B2 level strongly recommended, if it is not your native language. We can provide a free online placement test for you if you are unsure, please ask us.
Accommodation
You have to make your accommodation bookings on your own – below are some examples Youth hostel: Wiesbaden youth hostel is opposite the campus – book fast for summer times! Costs include breakfast and there are shared rooms, two-bed or single bed rooms available Hotels in the city center: Hotel select, Motel one, Ibis Hotel, Hotel Alexander – all are about 20 minutes away by bike or public transportation from the campus
Transport
Transport in Wiesbaden: public transportation ticket are about 30 Euros for a week for Mainz/Wiesbaden area (as of November 2024)
Frankfurt International Airport is about 20 minutes away by train/bus
Health & other insurance
You will have to provide a health insurance for your stay in Germany as well as other insurance packages you may need (travel cost insurance, accident insurance, liability insurance etc).
Participation Fee
The teaching program of the SummerSchool “International Leaders” is free for students. It is part of the Internationalization at Home Strategy of the University. This means, at least four students from our German University will take part and thus have the opportunity to make an international experience at home without travelling. Students from partner universities will be preferred, but there are usually enough places for freemovers. You cannot participate if you are not enrolled in a university. You are responsible to cover your living and travelling costs. There may be Erasmus grants available (PROMOS) from your home University – please contact your hometown international office.
